We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your health or behavior data for advertising purposes.
BuildMode uses AI language models to power the Ask BuildMode coaching feature. Your messages and relevant profile data are sent to our AI provider to generate responses. We also maintain a vector memory index (powered by Qdrant) that stores embeddings of your coaching interactions to provide context-aware responses over time. This data is stored securely and is not shared with other users.
You can view what BuildMode knows about you at any time from the "What BuildMode Knows" screen in the app. You may request deletion of your AI memory by contacting support@buildmode.ai or by deleting your account.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), a secure cloud database hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated requests from your account.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (iOS/web) or Google Play (Android). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Stripe and Google handle payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. Your subscription status is stored in our database to gate access to Founder features.
BuildMode is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@buildmode.ai and we will delete it promptly.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, health data, AI history, community posts, and all associated records within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
BuildMode is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
